Who We Are
The MWS Parent Association is a parent-run nonprofit that supports the students, teachers, and families of Montessori Way School in Orlando, Florida. We are volunteers: parents who give our time to build community at the school and create educational experiences for our children.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture a warm, welcoming school community and champion every child’s educational journey by supporting Montessori Way School’s teachers, celebrating its students, and connecting its families.
Our Story
Parents at Montessori Way School have been coming together to support the school for many years, under names such as Parent Circle and Parent Squad. Through each chapter, the goal has stayed the same: to support our students and teachers and bring MWS families together.
In 2026, we took the next step and incorporated as MWS Booster Club Inc., a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and registered the fictitious name MWS Parent Association. Becoming an independent nonprofit helps us further our mission of providing outstanding educational support to the students of Montessori Way School while strengthening our school community.
Families can look forward to the same beloved traditions that MWS parents have organized over the years, including our Fall Festival, Winter Around the World Festival, family movie nights, and Teacher Appreciation Week. As an incorporated nonprofit, we’re now able to make these events bigger and better, add new programs, and offer even more opportunities for our students to learn, explore, and celebrate together. We look forward to growing even more this year.
What We Do
This school year, we’re hosting free and low-cost educational events for MWS families, including our Storybook Harvest Fall Festival in October, a family movie night in December, and a Winter Around the World Festival in January. We also celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, run fundraisers like restaurant spirit nights and Box Tops for Education, hold regular parent meetings, and coordinate parent volunteering at the school.
